could I have colon cancer

I am a male 51 years old I have black and red blood in my stools i have had blood in the stools for about 12 years. just latley there is more blood and stomach pains above the belley button also white looking mucus over the stool.I also get diarrhea and constipation on a regular event I had my colon checked last week and found two polyps one with a stalk and one with out still waiting to see if its cancer or not do i need to worry do you think this could be cancer and it runs in my family

Just had a call from the Dr’s its not cancer in the one polyp they tested just have to wait to have them removed
